Quality Assurance (QA) / Product Testing Engineer - AfriSAF & Verifeed

AfriSAF is building sustainable feedstock supply chains in Africa, supported by Verifeed, our digital platform for traceability, monitoring, certification preparation, and supply chain risk management.

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) / Product Testing Engineer to join us as we build, test, and scale the platform.

The role can focus on manual testing, automated testing, or a combination of both depending on your strengths.

What matters most is not a fixed number of years of experience, but the right mindset, values, high attention to detail, and ability to learn.

We need someone who is open-minded, curious, hard-working, and rigorous.

Verifeed is not just a technical product. It connects agriculture, sustainability, certification, geospatial data, operations, and business needs.

The right person should be able to think beyond bug reports and understand why we are building each feature, ensuring that what we ship works reliably in real-world scenarios.

• Quality & Test Ownership: Design, execute, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and edge-case evaluations across the Verifeed platform.
• Product Understanding: Understand business and operational needs, translating them into thorough test strategies that cover user flows, data integrity, and system reliability.
• Issue Identification & Tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs, edge cases, and performance bottlenecks, working closely with the development team to resolve them.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate openly with developers, product leads, and operational teams, asking sharp questions and communicating issues clearly.
• Domain Adaptation: Learn quickly about domain-specific topics such as supply chain traceability, certification requirements, geospatial data and mapping inputs, and operational risk management.
• Automation & Tools: Help build and maintain automated test suites, including API testing and end-to-end web testing, as the platform scales.
• Release Confidence: Help manage release cycles to ensure new features ship on time without breaking existing functionality.

A strong attitude, genuine willingness to learn, and alignment with our sustainability mission are far more important than a specific degree title or length of CV. We welcome applicants with backgrounds or demonstrated interest in:

• Web application testing, including functional, UI/UX, regression, and integration testing
• API testing using tools such as Postman and REST API verification
• Test automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or PyTest
• Database inspection and verification using SQL or Django admin inspection
• Testing web maps, location data, and geospatial features
• Mobile-responsive web browser testing
• AI-assisted test generation, automation, and debugging tools
